INTRODUCTION: ABOUT THE FELLOWSHIP PROGRAMME

The 2017 Commonwealth Professional Fellows came from two Commonwealth Countries: Ghana and India. This group comprised of myself, Alexander Asante, Dr. Neeraj Kumar Singh, Dr. Raj Kumar, Dr. Sanjay Kataria and Dr. Shri Ram Pandey.

 

The mentor and programme leader, Gurdish Sandhu (Associate Director: IT Services of University of East London) has made fellows to understand that, the Professional Fellowship Scheme of Commonwealth Scholarship Commission is a ground breaking scheme that provides a good opportunity for colleagues from Commonwealth countries to observe and participate in the working of IT & Information Services of British Universities.

 

In addition, she said the aim of the fellowship programme is to develop leadership skills of the fellows and help them acquire necessary skills for the implementation of emerging technologies to deliver modern IT & information services in their home countries to build digital capabilities for the future.

This professional fellowship programme focused on the following key areas of digital education:

  • Digital teaching & learning

  • Digital Literacy

  • Digital Leadership Skills

  • Strategy Development

  • Building organisational capability through digital skills 

  • Communicating the value of Technology through Persuasive Communication & influencing skills.
